Academic Excellence

 

The Need for Academic Excellence Mission - to develop a strategic academic support network for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in engineering and the physical sciences Purpose - to address the academic support needs of NSBE members, chapters and regions through researching, developing and implementing innovative programs, workshops and seminars. Objectives - to increase the overall Grade Point Average of NSBE undergraduate and graduate students in fields of engineering and science; to increase the number of NSBE undergraduate members graduating in the fields of engineering and science; to increase the number of NSBE members seeking and completing graduate degrees in the fields of engineering and science; to increase the number of NSBE members taking advantage of research opportunities.

The Academic Excellence Zone is Ready to help the Membership Raise Their GPA this school year.  There will be tons of workshops to help with your academic planning.  Some of the signature workshops will be:

 

The Advant - Short for "The Advantage", this is a program running two years now which is an motivational informational for First Semester Students to Georgia Tech, where REAL students tell it like it is.

The Graduate School Informational
- Is intended to spark the interest of Grad School from REAL Georgia Tech Grad Students.  All the information and motivation needed for successful entrance into Graduate School.

Hump Day Studies - A time on select Wednesdays for members to collaborate together in a study environment and help encourage others in their goal for a 4.0 GPA.  We have tons of study material and help available for all members to use effectively....oh and don't forget....FREE FOOD!!

The Academic Excellence Zone also wants be an impact on our members by providing REAL academic counseling and guidance for it's members.  NSBE should be an academic shoulder to lean on for help in school, and our zone is ready to Motivate A.S.A.P.
