Greetings NSBE Family,

The Georgia Tech Society of Black Engineers is excited about the upcoming school year and we invite you to join us as we continue last year's mission to E.N.G.IN.E.E.R. Excellence!

My name is Yulani Smith and I am the GTSBE President for the 2008-2009 school year. On behalf of the Executive Board, I welcome you join us this year as we strive to live out the NSBE mission: to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. GTSBE has been living this mission for 32 years, and this year will be no different.

We want your help to maintain timeless programs, such as the annual Career Fair, Technical Outreach and Community Help, Pre-College Initiative, and award-winning Academic Tech Bowl and Step Teams.

We want your support to lay the foundation for dynamic fresh programs, such as the Health and Wellness Fair and Corporate Blitz, GTSBE has an action-packed year ahead. We want you to have

MOTIVATION. A.S.A.P., because this year GTSBE is ...

Motivating the membership to serve the community Academically, Socially, And Professionally.

Join us every week at 11 am in the Student Center Theater for General Body Meetings, visit us in the Student Center room 331, or keep your eyes and ears open to find out about all of our fantastic programs throughout the year. We want you to be a part of our family.

Sincerely,

Yulani Smith
