The event...

On behalf of the Georgia Tech Society of Black Engineers, I would like to invite you to our 5th Annual A March for Education. A March for Education (AMFE) will be held on Sunday, October 29th, 2017 from11AM – 3:30 PM in the Bill Moore Student Success Center (219 Uncle Heinie Way , Atlanta, GA 30332) on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology . AMFE is a FREE community event whose purpose is to promote and empower Black people in education and provide the community with valuable information and resources to pursue their education further. Supplemented with an empowering Keynote Speech from Georgia Tech’s very own Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Steven W. McLaughlin, and a corporate address from BP ExecutiveMs. Keisha Tanner, AMFE undoubtedly inspires the various generations involved and shows what can be achieved through the unification of our race, as well as the limitless opportunities an education can grant. Following the march will be a STEM Expo to expose students to what they are capable of doing in STEM fields.

11:45 AM – 12:30 PM – Transportation to March Start Location (Centennial Olympic Park)

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM – A March for Education: Centennial Olympic Park à Georgia Tech

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM – Lunch (provided)

2:00 PM – 2:10 PM – Corporate Address 

2:10 PM – 3:30 PM – STEM Expo
